Ralphie…

Bryan Ralph, a local nelson still photographer, and “rock band” singer  has been kickin it with us for the past few day shooting photos and making us crack up. He is a super stoked and funny guy to hang out with and it has been a pleasure to get to hang with him while we shred here in the Kootenays. Here are a few of the sweet photos that he has taken while we have been on location. (all Photos by Bryan Ralph at Snow Water Heli skiing in Nelson BC)

shredding the trees has been the name of the game!

Snow Water Heli skiing with the Rossignol Team

Riding with the Rossignol team here in BC has been super fun. I linked up with Ian McIntosh, Kye Petersen, Austin Ross, and Mike Hopkins to film with Peak Productions and shoot photos with Brian Ralf. Paddy Kaye, and Jason Newell from Rossignol linked up with us too to make a all time posse. Again conditions were good, but tons of new snow has had the avalanche danger in the all time high category. Snow Water Heli has great terrain and offers steep trees that offered protection from a lot of hazard.  The lodge is amazing, food is five star, and staff is super hospitable and fun. One night after skiing we went on a mission to a old mining cave where huge Ice crystals, and ice stalagmites and stilagtites filled the cave. we also were greeted deep in the cave by it resident rodent, a bushy tailed pack rat… good times in BC.

Big thanks to Patrick and the Snow Water crew!

North Face RD&D trip to Bald Face

Bald Face Cat Skiing is located just north of Nelson BC and hosted our crew of athletes and designers. The purpose of our trip was to get together and test the gear that we ride in and the crew designs. we nailed the  weather which delivered tons of light, dry, deep, new snow. Bald face has a awesome staff, great food, cool location and terrain. three days of perfect snow left nothing but big smiles on our faces. These trips are always super productive, conversations are constantly going about new ideas, positive and negitive aspects of our gear, and observations.
