The Kimball Art Center had a fundraiser at Harry O’s in Park City on Friday night and I was honored to display some art for the event. It was a multi-media event showcasing art of many variety’s , Live DJ set by DJ Brisk, Live painting on donated snowboards, a snowboard film premier of “I ride Park City” and visual art provided by myself and other artists. This was a super cool event and a was a fundraiser for the local art center. Backcountry.com sponsored the event and connected me with the organizers.
The show started with a encore presentation of the snowboard film and then Brisk rocked the house while local street artists painted on four snowboards donated by backcountry. Then the art pieces were raffled off to several lucky people who not only won a new board but also a piece of art.
This was my first time displaying art to the public and many people including friends were surprised to hear that art was such a part of my life. There was a great response to the pieces I displayed and it opened some doors to future show opportunities. Big thanks to backcountry.com and the Kimball Art Center for giving me this opportunity to display one of my passions.
